EMC is seeking a bright and motivated Technical Writer to join our team of technical writers in our Pau office (64000 Pau). This position requires writing technical documents in English for several different EMC Captiva products.

Main responsibilities:

• Write users manuals, installation guides, help files, release notes.
  Create, review and refine document plans based on requirements and design specifications.
  Provide feedback to development team, product management and technical support.

Profile:

• Native or near native written English skills as all the documentation is written in English.
• Able to communicate in both English and French.
• Experience with online help is a plus.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and software release cycle.
• Ability to become familiar with new software quickly.
• Ability to self-direct, work independently and with a team. Able to work to deadlines, as well as multi-task effectively.
• Ability to use EPIC Editor or another XML editor, graphics programs such as Paint Shop Pro, Microsoft Word 2003.

Education

• bA/bS (Bac+4 ou Bac+5) degree or equivalent.
  2 to 3 years experience preferred but would consider beginners.
