Job description

Working in a software development environment, the successful applicant will join an established team in creating and maintaining online help systems for Xtra Markets Suite (XMS) and Calculators in Reuters 3000 Xtra.

Closely liaising with project managers and developers, the successful candidate will be responsible for editing, proofreading, and generating online help as well as ensuring:

  • compliance of online help to in-house styles and standards
  • adherence to Information Mapping methodology
  • proper use of authoring application template

Profile & skills

  • a BSc, BA, BEng degree or equivalent
  • native English speaker with a working knowledge of French
  • proven writing and editorial skills; possibly with a background in training
  • experience with desktop publishing, graphics, and word processing soft­ware
  • able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of financial markets (fixed income, equities, forex, money market, interest rate derivatives, commodities and energy)
  • experience working in the middle or back office of a bank or trading environment would be an advantage
