Job title: Entry-level technical writer, IBM, near Stuttgart, Germany

About the position:

The IBM Research and Development Lab is looking for a recently qualified technical writer for its documentation team in Boeblingen, near Stuttgart.
You will be creating technical documentation for a database-related oftware product. All documentation is written in English using topic-based writing principles.

Profile:

• A degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related subject.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and have proven technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work to tight deadlines
• Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to work in a team oriented, international environment

Technical skills

• Be comfortable with information technology
• Knowledge of  structured authoring, XML, and DITA is desirable but not required
